ARTIST | ILLUSTRATOR | educator
Welcome! I’m a fine artist, an illustrator, a designer and an educator. You’re most likely to find me working in my studio drinking disgusting amounts of black coffee and trying to not mistakenly put my paint brush in it while binging my latest obsession on Netflix or blasting 90’s grunge rock in my earbuds. I’m inspired by modern artists’ work and even more so their lives. I’m forever fascinated by artists who show up in their work in a real and raw way, which is why Frida Kahlo is my favorite painter.
I also love creating custom illustrations by collaborating with my clients to create one of a kind pieces commemorating their special milestones and events.
I attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where I received my Bachelor’s in Communication Design, majoring in Illustration. I have taught art and design for 19 years as well as running my own small boutique custom invitation firm for 10 plus years. I retired that business at the start of 2018 to focus solely on my painting, and I haven’t looked back. My illustrations have been published in several urban magazines and as a designer my work has been featured on television and in national publications as well as several high profile websites.
I'm passionate about fashion, modern art and children's books. But I’m truly obsessed with good coffee, great cocktails and even better food and of course my crazy little family.
When I’m not busy working on my latest work you can find me cheering my two little athletes on from the sidelines, baking just about anything with my daughter, watching Harry Potter with my son, scrolling Instagram, or when the stars align just right you can catch me at dinner with my girls laughing till our faces hurt. But I'm most comfortable in my home and when I need to recharge you can find me on my couch in my sweats with a glass of champagne or dirty martini in hand and a movie on the TV.
